We have officially reached the half way point of our time in Cambodia. Each day of the week the organization were working with, New Day New Life, travels to a different village to teach kids English and Bible stories. They also have Bible studies for the women in the villages. Most of the adults are illiterate but New Day New Life has been able to provide several families with a radio that reads the Bible to them in their language. This organization has been working with these villages for four years now, not only to teach English and Bible stories, but to tend to basic needs of the people, build trust and relationships, and to intercede on their behalf. In more recent years, several of the people in the villages have accepted Jesus as Lord. This is a huge deal for them because it means they’re turning their back on Buddhism and risk losing relationships with friends and family. God is moving among the Khmer people and it is so evident. I love to listen to their testimonies of how they’ve come to belief in Jesus. Many of them have experienced the supernatural miracles from God and these miracles bring not only the recipient but families to the feet of Jesus. However, there definitely is a darkness that hovers over Cambodia. We’re reminded of it daily when we pass by 24hr “massage” places or “nail salons” and several alters to Buddha. I am so grateful to witness what Jesus is doing but I can’t help but feel like I have nothing to offer or leave behind for them. I’m learning that intercession is the absolute best thing I can do that would leave an impact. I’m reminded that it’s only Jesus that can save people and turn their lives around. Hope truly is only in the love of Jesus.

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:6‬

OKAY!! Bye! Love you! See you next week!!
