Goodbyes are so bittersweet. Itโ€™s difficult to leave people youโ€™ve built relationships with. But what a blessing it is to love people so deeply that itโ€™s hard to leave them. Cambodia has been my very first overseas country to serve in. I donโ€™t have much experience to make a proper judgment, but in my little time with other people groups the Khmer people have been the sweetest. Cambodia has truly stolen my heart.

During our time in Cambodia God has emphasized the importance of long term missions. Iโ€™ve learned that trust has to be built and relationships have to be nurtured. All this is especially true when thereโ€™s a significant cultural differences between yourself and another person. Although we did build relationships with the people we served, there were still barriers that could not be crossed in the matter of a month. Because of these barriers I often felt kind of useless.

I was humbled to be reminded that anytime we give God our โ€œyesโ€ to serve him, itโ€™s actually just a โ€œyesโ€ to an invitation to witness him in action. Thatโ€™s still true if the action is performed with our hands or not. Itโ€™s still just God in action and itโ€™s just simply a privilege to see him move first hand.

Ok bye!!! Love you!!!
